Hartwell House, previously home to exiled King of France Louis XVIII, is one of England’s stately homes. The house is set in over 90 acres of stunning gardens and parkland which are steeped in history, dating back to the start of the 18th century. The Spa is described as the ‘heartbeat of personal wellbeing’ at Hartwell House and offers a wide array of treatments to help you relax and unwind during your trip.
Best For: Relaxing walks in the historic gardens, spa treatments, fine dining, relaxing in the house and grounds
Things to do: The house and gardens are steeped in history and a ‘must do’ is taking a guided garden tour with the head gardener. An essential part of a visit to Hartwell House include relaxing, unwinding and re-energising in the Spa. Try a BIOEFFECT facial, we deem it as one of the best we have had and noticed effects straight away.
Other Facilities: Take a day trip to Bicester shopping village, Silverstone or the Harry Potter Studios which are all located close to the hotel
Highlights: The stunning settings delivered peace and quiet a stone throw away from London. The dining rooms offer a sophisticated experience and the dining service is just exceptional. The long walks and spa treatments helped us unwind whilst the educational tours of the house and libraries left us feeling cultured and informed. Plus the afternoon cream teas were something very special!
Improvements: Make sure you phone down if you want tea and coffee in your room, there are no facilities in the room, and it wasn’t mentioned to us at check-in that there was room service
Cost: Costs vary depending on your suite and package but range from £190 to £720 for an overnight stay
Special Offers: Special offers and packages are regularly promoted on the Hartwell House website. Check out their Bicester Shopping Village break at https://www.hartwell-house.com
