How to Recreate the Make-up Look From Mark Fast’s LFW Show
The King of luxe knits Mark Fast didn’t disappoint with his AW17 London Fashion Week.
Oozing intricate detailing and lush, deep tones of orange and purple, juxtapositioned by powdery feathery blues and Mark’s go-to black, the collection was said to be inspired by “fire, coal, disintegration.”
To bring his vision to life, Benefit’s Head Makeup Artist and Brow Expert Lisa Potter-Dixon created a ‘frozen under a rainbow’ make-up look using Benefit products, which was as pretty as it was punchy.
“She’s frozen under a rainbow with soft reflection of the colour embedded into her skin, with her frost bitten brow quiff framing her face,” Lisa said of her inspiration.
Here’s how you can recreate the look at home:
Step 1: Skin
This look requires a velvet matte complexion; mix Benefit shy beam with hello flawless oxygen wow! and blend all over the face using her fingers. Dab concealer where needed.
Step 2: Brows
Create the ‘brow quiff’ by drawing hair like strokes at the front of the brow. Follow with a clear eyebrow gel and brush upwards for the feathered finish.
Step 3: Blush
The models wore an ‘upside down’ blush look, which was created by patting benefit majorette cream blush from the temple down to the top of the cheekbone. Blend this through into the hairline. Take it one step further with a fresh, pastel looking finish using GALIfornia and hervana.
Step 4: Eyes
For the eyes, use the purple from hervana and buff onto the outer section of the eye and blend this into the blusher. Pat watts up highlighter onto the inner half of the eye. Finish with they’re real! Lengthening mascara in beyond blue, on the top lashes only.
Step 5: Lips
A swipe of they’re real! double the lip and a patting of award winning high beam onto the apples of the cheeks and the cupid’s bow will have your look finished.
